AVM is a German audio manufacturer with over 20 years of production experience, established in 1986. The company name signifies: A for Audio, V for Video, M for Measurement, and NG for Next Generation. Its founders were Mr Robert Winiarski and Mr Günther Mania. From 1989 onwards, AVM began marketing Hi-Fi products under its own brand. The inaugural product was the “Vorstufe” series preamplifier, which was named the “Best of the Year” recommendation by Germany's largest specialist audio publication, “stereoplay”, in 1990. Subsequently, AVM products received favourable reviews from other German, French, Swedish, Swiss, and Austrian audio publications. Thereafter, AVM ceased contract manufacturing for other companies to focus exclusively on its own brand. All products are handcrafted locally in Germany using the finest electronic components and materials. The product line expanded to include premium hi-end audio products such as CD players, MONO monoblock power amplifiers, preamplifiers, integrated amplifiers, tuner decks, phono preamplifiers, and the All-in-One laser disc/DVD player integrated tuner amplifier.
